Contouring of the arms can be done with liposuction, skin removal, or a combination. Generally speaking the more skin and fat there is the more that needs to be done. In weight loss patients it is common to remove quite a bit of skin and fat with an incision from the armpit down the arm to the elbow. It is frustrating to work so hard to lose weight and feel better and have all this extra skin but unfortunately these are cosmetic procedures.

Radiation after alloderm?

Radiation is harmful to all the tissues in the area and will increase your risk for capsular contracture and implant malposition (making the implant ride high). That being said right now we think that alloderm has a protective affect on capsular contracture in the radiated setting. If I am doing an expander reconstruction on someone who is going to get radiation, I would use alloderm rather than avoid it.

Picking implants is a big decision and can be very stressful. Looking at your photo and your measurements your volume is reasonable. There are other factors that your surgeon likely is considering such as how loose your skin is and how much breast tissue you have in making the decision.
