Am I a good FUT hair tansplant candidate?
You are a great candidate!
Sep 3, 2019
Put simply, you are a great candidate for hair transplantation to your hairline. In my opinion, FUT is the best option for you, given that the technique is simple, less expensive, and creates wonderful grafts for transplantation. The fact you have baby hairs is not a problem. The baby hairs are normal, but as you described, they do not add to your hairline and they never will because they are fine and short. Transplanted hairs will grow long and thick...
Is CoolSculpting or Smart Lipo worth it for me at 230lb and 6'3?
I understand your concern.
Apr 29, 2019
Body contouring is very much individualized and pricing can vary a lot depending on your goals, the techniques used to achieve the goals, and how many areas are involved. Obviously the more you do, the more expensive it gets. In my practice I focus of body contouring. I offer non-surgical, minimally invasive, and surgical options. Some can be performed in the office under local and others at an accredited surgery center if anesthesia is needed...
8 weeks post op Botox and I can still frown. Were my expectations too high or should I find a better
Expectations
Nov 20, 2018
To be honest, based on the pictures you submitted, you have obvious static lines. For deep static lines, botox typically won't get rid of these lines. The ideal patient for botox is a patient who has dynamic lines only (lines that form from active muscle movement, but disappear when the muscle is relaxed). Static lines (lines that are present even when the muscle is completely relaxed) result from dynamic lines that have been present for a long time...
Would CoolSculpting help or liposuction? What is a ballpark of cost? If CoolCculpting, would it be m
What's the best option?
Nov 14, 2018
Both liposuction and coolsculpting are good techniques for fat reduction in the right candidates. The key thing is the make sure you are a candidate. A consultation where the tissue can be examined to determine how much fat there is, see how it is distributed, and to assess the quality of overlying skin is very important to determine the best technique. Sometimes a bulge like yours can be due to accessory axillary breast tissue which is not a problem with fat.
So, it...
What should I do because my stomach does not want to go down?
Liposuction is not a skin tightener, it is fat removal.
Nov 6, 2018
I am sorry to hear you are not happy with your results. The best way to address the problems you have with your result would be with a full consultation and also review of what you looked like before your lipo and fat transfer. However, I will make a couple comments.
You showed one picture where your stomach is very flat and another where it is bloated. Now, when you are bloated, the problem is not fat under the skin, but visceral or the deep tissue under the...
I keep reading that weight gained redistribution post lipo looks awful. Is this true?
Don't gain weight!
Oct 24, 2018
Liposuction is a body contouring or body shaping procedure. So, if the shape of the body is off or there is a problem area due to fat, then that can be corrected with liposuction. That shape stays with you even with some weight gain or weight loss. The key thing to remember is that liposuction does not affect body weight and should not be thought of as a treatment for gaining weight. So yes, weight gain after liposuction can look awful, but weight gain...
Can liposuction before pregnancy act as preventative measure to reduce pregnancy related body change
Lipo is not a preventative measure.
Oct 13, 2018
Thanks for your question. I can understand your concern regarding body changes with pregnancy. There are many factors that result in body changes with pregnancy and it's not just fat. The skin stretches, the fascia/muscle stretches, and there is weight gain on top of the weight of the growing baby. Liposuction will not affect these factors. Liposuction is a body contouring procedure where fat is removed and that's pretty much it. With liposuction, there...
Would I be a candidate for liposuction to the midsection/flanks?
Liposuction to mid-section and flanks.
Sep 20, 2018
Congrats on your weight loss, you look great! I can understand your frustration with areas resistant to a healthy lifestyle and exercise, especially after what you have achieved. Liposuction is a good option to further help you achieve your desired shape and based on your pictures, you seem to be a good candidate. The only way to know for sure, however, is with a full consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Liposuction only takes care of subcutaneous fat,...
I had Lipo twice on my stomach and now it’s hard. How can I get rid of this?
Hard belly after liposuction.
Sep 5, 2018
Based on your photos, I suspect the hard belly you have is from visceral fullness or fat that is deep to the muscles and around the organs in your belly. When we perform liposuction, we can only remove fat the is under the skin (subcutaneous fat), and not the deep fat under the muscle (visceral fat). Your belly probably feels hard because there is very little fat under the skin and you are feeling the layer of tissue made up of muscle and fascia and that layer is stretched...
What can I do with my love handles?
Fat reduction to the flanks
Sep 4, 2018
I very much understand your problem and having a stubborn area despite working out and eating healthy is obviously very frustrating. You are an excellent candidate for fat reduction to the flanks. Both liposuction and coolsculpting can help you out because that's exactly was they do, remove fat from stubborn areas. As for which is better, I've had excellent results with both techniques and know what to expect with each treatment. So to decide what is best for you can...
Liposuction with Ehlers Danlos syndrome? I was wondering if lipo would cause my stomach to look even
Will you look more "deflated"?
Aug 31, 2018
First, congrats with the weight loss and based on your pictures you look great. Unfortunately Coolsculpting or liposuction will not improve your skin. Fat reduction treatments are just that, fat reduction, not skin tightening. Generally speaking, with liposuction, energy can be delivered to the tissues and skin at the same time (laser, radiofrequency, ultrasound) that can help promote tissue contraction and some skin tightening. However, since you have Ehlers-Danlos...
Would lipo be safer than a BBL?
Is liposuction safer than a BBL?
Aug 30, 2018
BBL has become very popular and many "clinics" perform the procedure. Deaths related to BBL have occurred with patients who travel to a location they have been lured to because of marketing and a low price for the procedure. They did not have a proper consultation and they did not even know the surgeon! I believe the death you are talking about occurred with a British woman who traveled to Turkey for her procedure.
Any cosmetic procedure has a risk, so to minimize...
Tummy tuck or lower body lift? I went from a high weight of 219lbs to 141lbs.
Tummy tuck vs lower body lift
Aug 20, 2018
That's great with your weight loss! I can understand the difficulty with trying to decide what do you about the extra skin you now have. Bottom line, it's a matter of how much of a change you want and whether you are ok, not doing anything for the thighs and buttocks, which a tummy tuck will definitely not address. One thing I have done with patients is to stage the procedure. What that means is do the tummy tuck first to deal with your abdomen which really...
Is liposuction of the inner thighs a bad idea?
It's not the location of liposuction, it's the surgeon.
Aug 17, 2018
Liposuction of the inner thighs can be done safely and well. You are correct that the skin from the inner thigh can be less forgiving in terms post-treatment tissue sagging, but sagging can occur anywhere, not just the inner thigh. It a matter of assessing the skin quality during your exam that determines whether or not skin sagging can be an issue. That assessment is made by your surgeon and an experienced surgeon will know if the skin is a potential problem....
11 days after liposuction and I’m bigger than before I went in. Is this normal?
Swelling after liposuction
Aug 16, 2018
I can understand your frustration with the swelling and still looking bigger. You are still early in your post-op period and swelling is normal. Tumescent technique is the standard for liposuction, so that's not an issue. As for the amount that was removed, 1700cc's, don't get caught up in that number. Everyone is different and technique can vary in terms of the amount of tumescent that is used, so the amount taken can vary as well. The key thing is...
