First...no, lower lid bags are not corrected by midfacelift in fact midfacelift doesnt really correct anything. MRI studies have shown not only does the malar fat pad fall but it loses up to 50 percent of its fat. Lifting it only replaces a fat depleted structure and requires an invasive operation. Why not. It depends on what you want done.. I have been in practice 40 years and on a few cases done surgery on revisional cases early. Some emotionally distraught patients demand it. If you can put your finger on the bridge of the nose and the skin can be slid easily cephalically then caudally I believe that is when you can operate.If the skin can be separated you can get to the framework.
