Should I have my face lift during my weight lost or after?
weight loss and face lifting
Sep 19, 2018
It is perferrable to reach a stable weight before undergoing significant facial rejuvination such as a facelift. Decreasing the amount of fat in the face and neck region can reveal more skin and soft tissue laxity which will need to be accounted for in the procedure for the optimal result. Selective resoration of facial volume is also more accurate after wieght loss is complete.

Alloderm and ripplng
Nov 29, 2017
Alloderm has one surface that will incorporate into your own tissues as cells and blood vessels infiltrate. It will not attach to a breast implant. Rippling is typically caused by a mismatch between the size of the implant and the space it occupies or thin soft tissue cover. Rotating should not improve rippling long term. Alloderm can be used to control the size of the implant space or to add thickness to the soft tissue between the skin and the implant. A board certified plastic...

"Should I have lipo after tummy tuck?"
Jun 1, 2017
It's too soon to consider liposuction. If you are just a month from surgery it is most likely swelling. Especially if it wasn't there before. You should be wearing a support girdle to control swelling as it continues to move downward. We recommend wearing something for at least 6-8 weeks. Tummy tuck results are best determined after 6-12 months after surgery. Good luck!

"Breast augmentation a preexisting condition?"
Jun 1, 2017
Insurance companies may deny removal coverage due to them being put in for "cosmetic reasons." Even if an MRI shows a rupture. They may exclude breast implant related coverage on a policy if you've had a breast augmentation, but not deny coverage altogether. This would not pertain to group coverage as much as an individual policy. Although this is rare I have seen it a couple times in my practice.
