Mental crease is extended & progressing – would filler work?
Filler is Perfect for This!
Aug 16, 2022
Hi Alethius,
I agree that filler is the best choice for the improvement of this area. Skillfully placed filler, including the right choice of filler will give this area structural support and improve the appearance of this area.Other options for improving the skin texture are Halo or other resurfacing lasers such as laser peels (Contour TRL by Sciton) or CO2 laser. These will be best used in combination with filler.
Thanks Dr. Mona
Is Post Laser Erythema from Erbium Permanent?
Post Inflammatory Erythema
Aug 8, 2022
Hi NeedHelpPls12345
I hope you are happy with the improvement in your textural scar. I do a lot of work with acne scarring and this is a very common issue. Not to worry, the redness will improve with time. You can also do a Forever Young Broad Band Light Treatment to improve the redness if you are feeling very concerned and bothered by the redness.
Make sure you are staying out of the sun and wearing sunscreen during this time of healing.
Thanks Dr. Mona Khurana
Help for loss of volume under eye
Cheek and Under Eye Volumization
Aug 8, 2022
Hi Hh3,
This is a common issue that comes up for patients. I think you would benefit from cheek and under eye filler. Of course, your injector will have to assess the under eye area to ensure that you are good candidate. As we get older, the volume loss in our upper cheek bone and mid cheek can cause the tear trough (under eye) area to look more pronounced. My first line approach is cheek filler to support the tear trough area. I will often inject a small amount of filler in the tear trough…
Is this lip filler migration?
Lip Filler Migration
Aug 8, 2022
Hi BeautyisPain96
Yes, indeed, I think you are absolutely right about this being filler migration. Certainly this can happen to just about anyone, even in the hands of an experienced injector. I think this is a capacity issue. Your lips have only so much volume they can take before the filler starts to move or migrate out side of the lip line. This is easy to fix with small volumes of hyaluronidase (the enzyme that dissolves filler). I usually try to approach this with a minimal amount of the…
Why do I have these bulges forming and how do I hide/remove them?
Volume changes in lower face.
Aug 8, 2022
Hi Rosepetal 83. This is related to volume loss and the effect of gravity as we age. I think you would benefit from lower face dermal fillers. Strategically placed in the chin and the area of the lower marionette lines, the contour will improve and decrease the appearance of these areas.Skin tightening treatments such as SkinTyte could also help improve the tightness of the skin the lower face also. Thanks Dr. Khurana
What is the best method to remove a small raised mole from chin?
Mole removal options
Apr 2, 2021
H Kindness1177,
Your mole can easily and quickly be removed with an electrosurgical machine. Local anaesthetic is injected into the area before the procedure.A skilled provider can remove this with the device and leave a flat area that is left to healing. The healing process takes a few weeks and complete transformation of the area can take even more time. There is minimal scarring with this procedure. Over time, after the area heals there may be some subtle textural changes in the skin of…
Is this even remotely fixable? Am I better off saving my money for something like subcision?
MultiModal Treatment
Apr 2, 2021
Hi Kopec709,
Having an acne and acne scar treatment clinic in Vancouver, BC, I have had success treating a patient similar to you with a combination of consecutive Halo Laser Treatments and subcision with PRP and also more recently subcision with mesotherapy and filler. With scarring of this nature, I think microneedling will only get you mild improvement.I think RF microneedling is also a good option that would be more powerful than microneedling.Another alternative, with significant…
