Statement: Dr Chirag Patel qualified from Liverpool Medical School in 2006 and has been performing aesthetic procedures since 2009. He holds a diploma in clinical dermatology and currently works as a GP with a special interest in dermatology and skin surgery for the NHS.

He is the director of DR SKIN, a cosmetic clinic in Leicester where he particularly enjoys helping clients with scarring and pigmentation disorders to achieve normal skin.

He recognises that the NHS is limited in what it can offer to patients with many disfiguring skin conditions and uses various non-conventional treatments in his clinic to help these clients regain their confidence.

He enjoys combining various modalities such as botulinum toxin, dermal fillers, plasma skin tightening, micro-needling, PRP, chemical peels and skin surgery to achieve the best results for his patients. He is also one of very few doctors in the UK who uses platelet rich plasma for genital and sexual rejuvenation.

Does Nu-Derm contain Retinol or do I need to purchase separately?
Nu Derm and retinol
Nov 28, 2020
Hi,
The standard Nu derm package doesn’t contain retinol, it needs to be purchased separately. It is however integral to anyone embarking on the Nu derm journey as it is required to increase epidermal turnover i.e. make the outer layer of your skin shed off, removing old pigmentation and fine wrinkles and to allow hydroquinone to infuse deeper into your dermis (middle layer of your skin). You have the option of tretinoin in 0.025%, 0.05% or 0.1%. I personally always suggest the highest…
