Is it safe to have Botox in the neck with health conditions?
Botox and thyroid disease:
Jul 14, 2019
Botox does not have any interactions with thyroid medications and is generally safe to use in patients with thyroid disease. Please consult with an experienced injector for the details.
Can Botox reduce the horizontal lines/creases above lips when I smile?
Dynamic horizontal lip lines:
Jul 14, 2019
I believe Botox will help to reduce these horizontal lines. I would recommend a stepwise approach, starting with Botox as the safest initial step. If needed, you can later add dermal fillers and laser treatments to improve the general appearance of the upper lip region.

Botox for frown area:
Jul 14, 2019
The number of units to achieve desired results depend on the muscle mass of the targeted area. It’s always better to be conservative in Botox injections and add more units if needed later. Being conservative is more important if the area is being treated for the first time. That said, you usually need at least 21 units of Botox for the 11s. Your will see better and longer lasting results with regular Botox injections.

We advised patients to avoid strenuous physical activity for four hours and to avoid rubbing or massaging the injection sites for 24 hours. Going back to work the next day should be fine.

Combined use of Botox and dermal fillers
Jul 9, 2019
Botox and dermal fillers injections can safely be done in the same visit. I advise against injection site massaging and activities that cause facial flushing (heat application, alcohol consumption, strenuous physical activity) for at least 6 hours after the procedure. You can safely go back to your skin care routine (including make up and skin products) and regular activities after 24 hours.
Does taking Predisolone affect filler outcome?
Prednisone and dermal fillers
Oct 30, 2018
Steroids (prednisone) does not affect the final results. Patients on high dose or long-term steroid therapy may be more susceptible to infections and bruising. You were on medium dose short course steroid which should not cause any problems. It is important to discuss the underlying problem that needed steroid therapy with your provider.
Good luck!

Blowout fracture and Botox
Oct 29, 2018
Your are not at higher risk of Botox complications or side effects because of your previous orbital floor fracture. Crow’s feet injections are superficial and far away form the orbital floor. Breathing muscle paralysis may happen with certain pre-existing muscle or nervous system illnesses.
