Fat transfer to buttocks and hips (Fat Grafting Procedure)

One of the reasons that the Brazilian Butt Lift has become so popular is that it can be tailored to each patient. No question that fat can be transferred to your hips to improve your shape.

Fat will also be taken from your flanks to improve your waist. I would recommend that you see a board certified plastic surgeon that performs a significant amount of these procedures so they can help guide you to the surgery that will be best for you.

It is possible to inject to the hips

I get frequent requests for adding fat to the hips. The procedure is essentially the reverse of when you do lipo to the hips, except that I also inject a little bit higher into the area above the hip bone (the supratrochanteric adhesion plane).

The recovery period is a little bit more complicated in that the patient has to avoid not only putting pressure in her buttocks, but also on her sides. This limits her post op positioning to sleeping on her stomach.

During the day the patient must avoid sitting or laying on her sides, unless she props herself up with many pillows to keep her hips free of any pressure.

Having said this, many patients are motivated to do it and seem to tolerate the positioning restrictions quite well. You have to be committed to a 3 week postoperative period of positioning limitations to give the grafts the best chance of survival.

Fat grafting is a very popular technique

The brazilian procedure is a fat grafting to the buttock area. If you do this you will have more projection of the buttocks.

If your concern is the hip area, I would suggest liposuction and fat grafting to add more volume to this area specificaly. Regarding numbers, no one will be able to help you with exact numbers but at least you get the shape you want. Also make sure you are very clear about your communication with your surgeon.

Brazilian Buttlift and Hip Transfer

I usually perform the Brazilian buttlift and the fat transfer to hips at the same time, and this is a very common patient request.

If you truly want to increase your hip measurements, fat transfer to the hips is the best idea to achieve this goal.

Brazilian buttock lift to shape hips

A Brazilian buttock lift can not only increase the size of your buttock but also reshape your entire lower back and hip area.

Fat can be transferred into your hip area specifically to improve your contour and shape. I would also recommend fairly aggressive liposuction of your lower back/lumbar area to further accentuate your hip and buttock area. This type of surgery is great for reshaping the gluteal/lower back/hip area and also creating a fuller buttock. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon familiar with these techniques to determine if you are a good candidate.

Selective liposuction with fat transfer will help you

If you have excess fullness in your upper hip area, and some deficiency of tissue in your lateral hips, especially on the right side.

I believe that liposuction of the upper hips, along with some fat injections (similar to the Brazilian Butt Lift technique) to the right lateral hip would make a big difference in your overall shape. I can’t tell from the picture if you will benefit from liposuction to the lower back and fat injection to the buttock, but those are two possibilities if you feel that your buttocks are too small or not as shapely as you would like.

Buttock reshaping procedure

Including the photo is a great idea. It appears that you alreday have a very nice shape but one can also see that there is potential for improvement, although slight.

Removing fat from certain areas and transferring it to others will very well improve your shape in the areas that you are interested. The changes would be subtle but considering the fact that you’ve probably thought this through quite clearly, I would suggest a proper exam by a board certified plastic surgeon followed by expecations on where you can appreciate reshaping.

It looks like he would be an excellent candidate for liposuction and then a strategic grafting of the fat that will be removed. Using a combination of techniques will allow you to attain a kind and flattering waist and will reshape the contour of your buttocks.

Get evaluated by several plastic for improving contour of your hips

It seems that you are concerned about the contour of your hips. The picture is helpful. A good evaluation to see if you are a candidate would include your abdomen. If you have an appropriate amount of fat that an be removed from you love handles (flanks), lower back, abdomen and lateral thighs I think this would reshape the areas around your butt to make it more prominent. The fat removed may or may not be placed in to your buttocks depending on your surgeons recommendations.

Visit with several plastic surgeons in your area to have a physical evaluation and recommendations based on your evaluation.

No one is perfectly even, but if this bothers you, I believe it can be improved. From the information you provide, what I would recommend is the Brazilian, removing excess fat from your low back/flank region as well as a small amount from the lateral thighs (at the level of the infra-gluteal crease), taking a slightly greater amount from the right lateral thigh than the left. I would then inject the fat into your buttocks for projection as well to make your buttocks slightly more round, filling out your hip region.
