Am I at risk from lip filler complications?
Complications from lip filler
Aug 11, 2018
No, this just seems to be how your body reacts to injury and if that is normal and consistent for you then that is fine. As long as you stick to reputable and reliable brands of dermal filler, attend a reliable physician and follow aftercare advice, your risk of complications will be the same as any one else’s. The only other factor that can affect your risk of complications could be your medical history. Again, this is something to be discussed with your treating physician. All the best, D…
How can I get this infection to go away? I had lip fillers 4 days ago.
Infection after lip filler
Aug 11, 2018
Hi there, you definitely have a localised infection. I would not use a surgical needle as this can cause the infection to spread. Sorry to say that this is not something you can manage on your own.
This needs to be managed by the physician who did your treatment, I advise you to speak to them. Best of luck, Dr Semira Kwabi
Would botox lift my right eyebrow to even out my eyes? Or would a different procedure be preferred?
Brow lift
Aug 11, 2018
Hello, I can see from your photos that your left eyebrow naturally sits/has a stronger muscle pull than your right eyebrow.
There are several ways to address this – either correct the hyperactive muscle (frontalis) on the left brow.

Or to match it, you can aim to relax the depressor muscles. There are many techniques. Please go to a reliable physician with experience and the consultation skills to give you the result you desire. Best wishes, Dr Semira Kwabi

Necrosis after lip fillers?

Hello. Well done on knowing the complications of your treatment.
It’s very difficult to tell from photos if you have true pallor or if it’s just the “white roll” of your lip. I’d suggest going to your treating physician and asking them to check your capillary refill and look for any other signs that would indicate an occlusion.

Other signs to look out for include the progression of pallor to a bluish discolouration to the skin and pustule formation.

I hope that this isn’t the case an…

Is my top lip still swollen?
Swelling after Lip Fillers
Aug 11, 2018
Hello there. Thank you for the photos. As it has only been three days, there will still be a degree of swelling. Wait for two weeks to see the full results. With regards to the braces. If there are braces on both of your top and bottom set of teeth then yes it will make the lips protrude outwards but this would be equal.
It’s normal to feel a bit ducky the in days after the procedure. However the most important part of your treatment is the result. After two weeks if you feel you are u…
