Thank you for your question. In my clinic we perform Vaser Liposuction under local anaesthetic which is well tolerated by our patients. Each surgeon has their own policy so I recommend you speak with your surgeon regarding your questions. I will not allow my patients to drive themselves home following surgery however if it is a smaller surgery, such as triceps they may take a taxi. Thank you for your question. It is not mandatory in Australia for blood tests to be ordered prior to Vaser Liposuction, and it is each surgeon’s preference if they do or not. In my clinic we routinely order pre-op blood work so we may be aware of increased risks and contraindications.
Do I really need to be drained via syringe?

Thank you for your question. Very occasionally fluid collects in pockets following liposuction. In my experience aspirating the fluid via syringe is suitable method of drainage and is surprisingly comfortable for the patient. Please visit your surgeon for assessment for possible drainage.
Is it best to have Vaser before or after children?

Thank you for your question. You appear to be an excellent candidate for Vaser liposuction. My clinic generally recommends having surgery prior to children, when the skin is more elastic and can retract back easily. In my experience women who undergo vaser and monitor their weight during and after pregnancy usually maintain beautiful results. Good luck!

Thank you for your question. From viewing your photo it appears you would experience excess skin following liposuction and would require a tummy tuck to contour a pleasing result.
