Having treated many patients with Sculpsure, I have noticed quite a spectrum of how people respond to the procedure. I believe the variety stems from individual pain thresholds. Proper permanent laser hair removal requires significant amounts of focused energy and these platforms generally aren’t available to the public due to safety concerns. I suspect the at home laser likely isn’t working and may have claims that are unsubstantiated with evidence. The lasers commonly used professionally include: Alexandrite (755nm), long-pulse diode (810nm), IPL (650-1200nm), and Nd:YAG(1064nm).
