These photographs illustrate Dr. O'Connell's technique for min-facelift (or short-scar rhytidectomy) known as the "BiDirectional Lift" or "Quill Facelift." This technique is performed in our in-office surgical facility under local anesthesia - i.e. no need for sedation or general anesthesia. The technique was published in 2015. Most patients are able to be at conversational distance (with makeup) by approximately postop day 7 without detection that they have had this procedure.
