I have seen patients who have implants placed subglandularly experience pre-mature sagging. There simply isn't enough support to prevent the skin from stretching and gravity pulling the implants downwards (especially with a larger, heavier implant).

I'm sorry to hear of your complications!You may want to discuss a mastopexy (breast lift) with your revision surgeon. You will also have to decide which plane to keep your implants on. I typically perform my breast augmentations under the muscle, and then reposition skin and tissue to match that placement.

Or if it's something that occurred a bit down the line?Either way, you may need some repair of the breast pocket. The breast implant should be nestled in a pocket withing the breast tissue and sometimes that pocket loses its integrity somehow.

This is always a difficult question to answer! As you can imagine, breast tissue is not all created equal! Those with "dense" breasts have tissue that is actually heavier than those with fatty tissue. So sometimes it's not possible to visually tell pre-operatively how much your removed tissue will weigh.
