I want to get symmetric eyelids, is 23 too young to get a blepharoplasty?
Blepharoplasty to create lid fold
Sep 17, 2020
If your goals are to gain a fold on the left aide for better symmetry, I think it very reasonable and achievable. Many young patients undergo blepharoplasty for this reason. You will want to go to a Plastic Surgeon who is well trained to not just perform blepharoplasty, but who has trained in creating lid folds in patients born without them. I am not familiar with any non surgical procedures to do this. I hope this helps!
Should I be concerned about complications from my upcoming breast augmentation after using garlic s
Supplements before surgery
Sep 10, 2020
Garlic supplements on a regular basis are known to thin the blood. This is when taken in high amounts. If you only consumed a small amount of garlic sauce for a meal or two, it is unlikely this would affect your bleeding risk.
Which profile is best for me? Is bottoming out a concern in my case, considering that I don’t have
Implant Question
Sep 10, 2020
Great questions; Choosing the correct implant is very important to your result and can be confusing.
I like to think of the implant profile as a secondary decision, with the volume (how many cc’s) as the most important decision. I typically will measure the patient’s breast width (how wide each breast is) and how wide they can be on that particular patient’s chest wall before having the implants touch in the middle (not what you want; this is called symmastia), or stick out too much on the…
How would 600cc implants look on me or which cc looks most appropriate?
Implant size question
Sep 10, 2020
Choosing the correct implants for breast augmentation is one of the most important decisions in obtaining a result you are happy with.
It is always very hard to choose implant size without examining the patient in person for several reasons:1. It is very helpful to look through pictures with the patient and really get a sense of their goals (natural look vs very full cleavage, etc)
2. The correct range of the size implants you can get is usually determined by how wide your chest is. Too big…
Do breast implants affect the baby during pregnancy?
Breast implants and health of your baby
Sep 10, 2020
There is no study I am aware of and no personal cases I have experienced or heard of that show any harmful affects in patient or mother in patients who become pregnant after having breast implants.
There are three situations to consider before making this choice.
1. If you had some kind of issue with the implant during the pregnancy such as infection, treatment of this could theoretically have an impact on your baby. This is a very unlikely scenario.
2. Some studies, but not all, show…
Can I get lip injections after I’ve already had permanent lip implants?
Lip Filler after implants
Sep 10, 2020
Thank you for the question.
In my mind, it really all depends on what filler is used and what implant was placed.
If it was a silicone or artificial implant, I would advise caution injecting around it, just because the implant could be damaged or seeded with bacteria from the needle insertion. It is likely very low risk of this but could be devastating if infection occurred, requiring treatment ranging from antibiotics to removal of the implant.
If it was another type of implant using…
How can I fix my asymmetrical lips?
Lip Assymetry
Sep 10, 2020
Yes, it is possible to permanently correct or improve lip asymmetry.
The two most common ways I perform this is with fat grafting and upper lip lifts.
-For people who just have asymmetry of the red/purple part of the lips, fat grafting is often a great permanent solution. It can fix differences in volume and also give more fullness overall to the lips. It can be performed by many surgeons in office or can be done under light anesthesia or in conjunction with another procedure.
-For patients…
Should I get lip fillers or a lip lift? Or a mouth widening procedure? I feel like my mouth isn’t w
LIP FILLER VS LIP LIFT
Sep 10, 2020
That is a great question, and it is one that is sometimes very hard to sort through.
-Lip filler makes the red/purple part of your lip bigger and fuller-A Lip Lift actually decreases the amount of skin between your nose and the red/purple part of your lip, which also give a slight “up-turning” of the red/purple part and makes it look fuller.
In general, for young patients I often would steer them towards trying filler first. It is not a permanent decision and less invasive, but also young…
