Thank you for your question. Swelling should be localized to the area of your liposuction after 10-14 days. It’s normal for all tissues to swell after surgery but in a short time this subsides. Swelling in the area of liposuction should be easily concealed in normal clothes. I hope this helps and good look on your procedure.

Thank you for your question. Any asymmetrical increase in size of the breast in your adult years should be evaluated. The vast majority of the causes are benign, but I wouldn’t ignore the finding. Physical exam is the first step, but lack of finding on physical exam should warrant further evaluation. This may be an ultrasound or even mammogram. I would start with your primary care physician. Thank you for your question and pictures. I understand your concern from the look of the pictures. However, you really need to be examined to tell the extent of any necrosis (tissue death). Quite frequently there is some superficial scabbing at the belly button that can easily come off leaving healthy tissue. Thank you for your question. From the description, you really don’t like your vertical scar from c-sections. Of course you would have to be examined to be sure, but it is common to remove that scar during a tummy tuck. Remember that you would essentially be trading the vertical scar for a bikini line scar. I would suggest getting a consult with a plastic surgeon as by your description you would likely be a very good candidate. Best of luck!

Thank you for your question. The treatment plan sounds reasonable as it is quite normal for there to be some slough at the belly button. By the pictures it all seems open. If there is some sclerosis (closing) of the belly button then this can be revised later. Personally, I wait until everything is healed to maximize the chance of success with a revision. Thank you for the question. This is a common issue after any surgery in which narcotics are given for pain control. The modalities you describe aren’t addressing the problem which is already in your bowels. I would suggest an oral laxative which should clear your system. Thank you for your question. Capsular contracture is a difficult problem as one can not predict if it will happen to the other side or not. If the right side is already starting to feel like the left, then it is reasonable to undergo capsulectomy (removal of the scar tissue around the implant) of the right side at the same time as the left. It is commonly referred to as a “silent rupture” as there typically aren’t any symptoms. Thank you for your question. From the description you gave, it sounds like you had a hematoma (blood collection) on that side. The blood that accumulated has found a way out. The description of thick and dark blood leads me to that conclusion. It would be best to be seen by your plastic surgeon as they could probably do something to evacuate the blood clot and speed up your recovery. I hope this helps.
