Could consuming alcohol within 24 hours of lip injections dissolve filler & not achieve full result
Probably not, but it can increase the bruising/swelling.
Jun 24, 2023
Drinking alcohol will not dissolve the filler. However, due to alcohol's blood-thinning properties, it can increase the chances of bruising and swelling after the filler procedure, so you would likely have a few extra days down time afterwards.
Make sure you let your injector know about any alcohol use or NSAID use the week before the procedure. Also, avoid drinking through a straw for the first 2 weeks after lip filler injections, to reduce the chances of the filler migrating out of place...
How risky are dermal fillers in temples?
Answer: Filler safety in the temples
Nov 3, 2022
Fillers in the temple area can be a great way to improve an overall more youthful appearance when addressing facial volume loss as we age.Fillers can be done safely in the temple area by a trained medical professional who is very familiar with the blood vessel anatomy in that area. Temple filler can either be injected deep against the bone with a needle, being sure to bypass any blood vessels. The other option is to use a cannula (blunt needle) which has a lower chance of piercing a blood...
Recommendation needed - how can these scars be removed from my face?
A few different treatments could be considered.
Oct 6, 2022
Hello! It appears that these are atrophic scars on the cheeks and a few hyperpigmented scars on the chin area. These could be treated with a combination of a few different treatments such as microneedling or RF microneedling, chemical peels, or laser skin rejuvenation. Some scar subcison may be needed for the deeper scars to get the best results.
How long do I wait to do PRP after getting a Covid booster?
Answer: How long do I wait to do PRP after getting a Covid booster?
Oct 2, 2022
Hello! This could vary based on any health conditions the patient may already have or their previous responses to a vaccine. In my office, for most patients I advise them to wait at least 2 weeks after getting a COVID booster before doing PRP.
Prone to keloid scars, but want to do a microneedling facial - is that ok?
Possible but with caution.
Aug 30, 2022
Keloids are more likely to form in areas such as the ears, shoulders, back, arms, and chest. Keloids are less likely to form on the face, but still a possibility. Microneedling (on the face only) might be a safe option for you if done by an experienced practitioner or dermatologist. A test patch could be done first to assess your skin's reaction to it. To prevent keloid formation after treatment, you could use a silicone-based scar gel that is safe to use on the face, and use good sun...
Botox for traumatic scar between eyebrows
Botox is an option but will likely need to be supplemented with another treatment.
Aug 23, 2022
Botox would be best here if the deep 11 lines were only due to facial muscle movement (i.e. frowning). However if the deep lines are due to a scar that is visible even the muscles are relaxed, then Botox may be an option but it would likely need to be supplemented with something that addresses the skin composition of the scar itself.
A possible treatment course would be:1- Botox to help reduce deepening of those 11 lines when you frownand2- Laser treatments or Microneedling treatments to...
