How do I make the skin on my nose smooth and elastic?
Options for nose
Sep 5, 2018
You have a lot of different options for treatment, and the best news is - your nose does not look that bad from your picture. First recommendation would be to use good products at home; a great cleanser, something to help stop the over production of oil (hello blackheads), something to reduce the pore size, and even out your tone. Again, you have options and I would suggest you look at the ZO Skin Health and SkinBetter Science Lines. If you were in our office that is where we would...
First time getting Botox for migraines. 155 units, 31 injections all together. Is this normal?
Migraine Injections
Dec 31, 2017
This sounds appropriate. Typically there are 31 injection points placed in the forehead and neck region. Each site is usually 5 units of botox which totals to 155units of botox. You retreat every 12 weeks. It typically takes 2 treatments to determine if the botox is helpful.
Did I receive the wrong procedure for upper lip asymmetry?
Botox for lip fullness
Dec 29, 2017
Botox around the lips can transiently increase fullness. I agree with what was written by other physicians. It can be tricky and as a rule I always start with a low dose done in a symmetric fashion. It can be difficult to predict if a patient will have any issues with speech or if the botox will accentuate asymmetry. The great thing about low dose botox is that if you don't like it then it wears off quickly. This unfortunately is also the draw back. Meaning if you like it then you are...
My friend said that Vollure and Vobella dont last that long in the lips, like 6 months, is that true
Vollure in lips
Dec 29, 2017
Vollure does a great job with lip augmentation. It is a very smooth filler and acts much like regular juvederm. The feedback that I have gotten is that it lasts much longer then regular juvederm. Vobella is a very fine filler that does not have a great deal of longevity. It is great for patients that are looking to reduce lip wrinkles as opposed to volumizing or altering the shape of the lip.
Getting my lips even shaped and augmented. What do you suggest?
Lip Filler
Dec 29, 2017
I like juvederm as well for the lips. It goes in smooth, is long lasting and gives a very natural appearance. There are a lot of different techniques for creating lip symmetry. However, teeth and jaw asymmetry can complicate the matter. On occasion teeth that are rotated or are not lined up with the midline of the lip can create a challenge. I have found the small amounts of lip filler layered over time can create a scaffold to build a particular lip shape and allow for...
Can you do a TCA peel to remove sunspots on shoulders?
Peels and Microneedling
Dec 29, 2017
TCA peels will remove the top layer of skin and exfoliate away brown spots. These peels can be used on areas other then the face. From experience the skin on your face peels very differently then skin on the neck and chest. The neck and chest tend to flake over a longer period of time. The key with peels is not to pick at an area that is peeling as that can actually lead to the deposition of brown pigment in an area. Peels that contain hydroquinone or kojic acid do a great job at reducing...
