Doctor’s answers

Question

Answer Snippet
I’m 53. I have eye bags and malar festoon. Will Accutite help?
Possibly but you need face to face assessment with a doctor
Mar 26, 2022
There is so much that goes into assessment of eyebags and their causes, it is impossible to say without a comprehensive consultation, assessment in person to determine eligibility.
In short in the right person, yes RF based treatment can help, but for the right cause and face and the right treatment, which is best assessed in person.
I’d suggest finding yourself a trusted doctor that you feel comfortable with to do this assessment for you and to guide you towards what is best for you.
Would FaceTite help me achieve a v-line?
Hard to tell in photos
Mar 26, 2022
It is hard to answer based on the photos provided but it may be that you have some prominence around the mouth because of a lack of balance in your lower face compared to the upper face. It is possible buccal fat removal may have made this more apparent as I agree, 21 is too young for age related sagging.
I’d suggest returning to your doctor for ideas or finding someone who feel has your best interest at heart that you can trust to help you assess and come up with a treatment plan to help y…
Pads around mouth after weight loss – how to treat non-surgically?
Consider improving collagen and lifting tissue quality
Mar 26, 2022
Around 40, our mid face begins to sag due to volume loss and the resultant tissue ie skin begins to pool around the lower face.
Depending on our genetics, degree of sun exposure, and weight fluctuations, this skin may pool around the mouth, around the lower face and jawline.
It’s hard to tell on photos but you have some sagging under the chin also possibly.
I’m not sure what you mean by invasive and if you’ve not had anything to date but I’d suggest beginning with a comprehensive consult…
How long after having your lip filler dissolved do you have to wait to be able to get fi
Best to wait until all swelling and bruising is settled
Mar 26, 2022
The hyaluronidase works for 6-8 hours and studies have shown it is no longer in the system after this time.
In saying that, the bruising and swelling that may invariably occur with dissolving, especially sensitive areas such as lips, may mean that it will take days if not weeks for your lips to settle to their pre-filler size and shape and to give you the best chances of having a good outcome when ready to refill.
My advice tends to be to wait around 2 weeks and not to be in a hurry as…
Help for this sun damage on chest – will IPL help?
Yes and…
Mar 15, 2022
You’re right that does look like chronic damage due to sun exposure. Chronically sun exposed areas are also at risk of skin cancers so before any treatment is undertaken I’d suggest a doctor who can address all your concerns: – your medical history inclg sun habits – a skin check to exclude any skin cancers – a treatment plan to treat based on your skin type and what the findings are eg pigmentation, vascularity or both.
IPL may be suited to some skin types but not all so a com…
Fat pads. Would it be best to get them lightly filled?
Not sure if it is malar mound.
Jun 5, 2021
It is hard to tell from the picture, but you look too young to have malar mound and definitely festoons.
I’d suggest it is filler placement and type of filler. A full photo is needed, or better yet, an assessment in person to see if the issue can be improved or if you will need dissolution to begin again. Choose an injector who is skilled in this area to help best solve your concern.
Cheek wrinkles? What is this?
Accordion lines
Jun 2, 2021
Thanks for asking.
These lines are also known as accordion lines and are due to volume loss in the face due to multiple factors usually- ageing and related volume loss as well as cumulative sundamage and collagen depletion.
Ageing is an intrinsic process, made worse by lack of sun protection and other lifestyle choices such as smoking.
