Not sure if Acceledent Mouth Piece is the right size for me. Will it slow down the process?
Acceledent will help even if your canine isn’t touching the tray
Apr 25, 2016
Keep in mind that Acceledent is moving all of the other teeth in your mouth, a couple of which might be responsible for the canine not being all the way down. I have patients use Acceledent that often have some teeth not making direct contact initially, and am very happy with the accelerated tooth movement that happens with ALL of the teeth.Good luck!
Acceledent treatment. My orthodontist told me to use it twice a day once in the morning and onc
Acceledent more than once a day
Apr 22, 2016
While using Acceledent more than once a day is beneficial for reducing orthodontic discomfort, it will likely do nothing to further accelerate the rate of treatment. There are currently no studies evaluating this scenario in orthodontics, but we know from the orthopedic literature that maximum results come from 20 minutes a day.
Can maxilomandibular surgery work for sleep apnea?
Maxillomandibular Surgery for Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA)
Apr 22, 2016
In a word yes, maxillomandibular advancement is just about 100% effective for the permanent treatment of OSA. The diagnosis is critical however, and you should (if you haven’t already) have a sleep study to confirm that your sleep apnea is obstructive in nature and not central. Central sleep apnea isn’t treated by surgery.
Could Invisalign Possibly Work for Me If I Play a Brass Instrument?
Invisalign may be just the ticket
Jun 20, 2012
It sounds like you have already had braces in the past. Patients who have already been treated orthodontically once are generally good candidates for Invisalign. If indeed you crowding is relatively mild, as you make it sound, then a series of clear trays may be just the ticket to resolve your crowding, while allowing you to play your brass instrument with comfort. Because Invisalign hugs each tooth with a clear plastic material, it is more comfortable on your lips….
