How can I get rid of the deep smile lines?
Radiesse or Far Injections
Jul 10, 2014
Hello. I agree that facial fillers would help in filling in the nasolabial folds and the marionette lines of your face. I would try something like Radiesse first to see if you like it. If you like the look and then want something more permanent they try fat injections to your NLF and also midface to replace the volume you lost with the weight loss.
Would it be possible to get the filler "Sculptra" to fill my dorsal hump?
Do not use fillers in this area of your face!
Mar 21, 2014
Hello and thank you for asking such an important question. I do not recommend getting fillers into this area of your nose or glabella as there have been reported cases of blindness with fillers here. There is an anatomic connection in the arterial blood flow to the area of the nasal bridge and the optical arterial system. As such fillers can be injected that can then occlude blood flow to the eye. I would recommend being seen by a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon that can evaluate your nose...
I recieved a blow to my nose, there is a huge dent on the left side of my nose. Does it look brok
Broken Nose
Mar 21, 2014
So sorry for the recent trauma to your nose. By just looking at your photos is does appear that you have an infracture of your lateral wall. You should be seen by a board certified Plastic Surgeon to do a thorough exam and to in fact verify that you do have a fracture. I recommend doing this soon so that if surgery is required you have it done within the next few weeks. You do not want to wait too long. I wish you the best.
My Hernia is Buldging out Again After Surgery 2 Years Ago?
Recurring Hernias
Sep 17, 2013
Hello and sorry to hear about the recurring hernias. Unfortunately, once you star having recurring hernias the risks for recurrence of additional hernias increase. The best thing to do is to meet with your surgeon and talk about the different materials available to help reinforce an abdominal hernia repair such as Strattice. Since you have already had a recurrence with previous surgeries your risk for an additional recurrence after a repair are high. I would personally recommend a...
Flying On Plane One Week After TT, Suggestions On Making It Safe And Comfy?
Flying after TT
Sep 8, 2013
Recommendations for flying after TT would be to wear an abdominal support and not push yourself to much. Walking is important after a TT, however if you have to walk long distances use a wheelchair. Have plenty of help to avoid lifting anything or carrying bags.

Safe travels!

Pocket over Dissection?
Breast Augmentation Pocket
Jul 10, 2013
Hello Yuly. Thank you for the question and the photos. However, in order to best answer your question I would like more information about your breast before surgery such as pictures before the surgery, base width, height of the breast, nipple to inframammary fold, areaola to inframammary fold, pinch stretch, placement of the implant, etc. Also, I would like to ask you why you think your pocket was over dissected? When a pocket is overdissected with a smooth round implant the...
Why Dont Some Doctors Offer Sientra Implants?
Sientra Breast Implants.
Jul 10, 2013
Hello Taneah. Excellent question that has multiple answers. First, Sientra as a company made a decision to only sell their implants to board certified plastic surgeons. I, as a board certified plastic surgeon, like this fact as it ensures that the person performing the surgery had the appropriate training to perform the surgery or deal with any complications from the procedure. So, before you have any surgery make sure that you are seeing a board certified Plastic Surgeon not just a...
I Had Botox Injections in my Forehead 10 Days Ago. I Have Absolutely No Results?
Botox
Jul 10, 2013
Hello Charla. Thank you for your question. It is hard to see from the pictures that you submitted so if possible take a close up of your forehead. In regards to the time frame, we normally see effects 7-10 days after injections for the full effects of the medication. If you do have questions or if you are not happy with the results go back to your surgeon/injector and speak with them. They can do touch up injections to the areas that were not fully treated. Best of Luck!
Seroma After Breast Lift?
Post Operative Swelling
Jun 5, 2013
As a general rule, I usually tell my patients that the overall swelling to a surgical site will resolve in approximately 3 weeks initially to 3 months. I believe that you should be able to return to work in about another week. However, I would defer the final answer to your PS as he/she knows your care. Best of luck to you.
What Would Be the Recovery Time for TT, BA with BL and Arm Lift? Also Thinking of Doing the BBL.
Recovery time for multiple procedures.
Jun 5, 2013
Hello! Your recovery for these multiple procedures should be 3-6 weeks given that everything goes well. The American Board of Plastic Surgery, as well as I, recommend that surgery time should not exceed 6-8 hours when performing multiple site surgeries. Thus, you should speak with your plastic surgeon to establish what procedures they are comfortable performing within this 6-8 hour time frame. In my opinion, an arm lift with a BA and BL with a TT can all be safely done within...
Help Me to Understand Lymphodemia After Tummy Tuck. Is my Swelling Abnormal?
No need to worry.
May 17, 2013
Hello and first & foremost, no need to worry. The best thing to do is to go back to your PS and have him/her examine you for a possible needle drainage if the seroma enlarges or is persistent. Swelling from procedures such as a TT often persists until 2-3 months post-operative. Fluid should not be present in a large quantity thus the needs for the drains. Whatever small fluid that persists should be reabsorbed. I would recommend that you...
Will I Benefit from Tummy Tuck and Lip on Flanks?
May need more Procedures
May 14, 2013
Hello and Congrats on your weight loss and progress. In order to better advise you we would need pictures. However, when I see patients in my office that have undergone such weight loss such as yours these patients usually require a body lift to lift the bottom and also excise tissue from your abdomen. These patients undergo an amazing transformation, but I agree that you need a board certified plastic surgeon with experience to do such a procedure.

Best of Luck.

Is It Normal to Still Have Little Pains Sometimes 14 Months Postop Breast Lift and Implants Under
Pain following Lift and Implants.
May 6, 2013
Hello.

Great question! The answer is yes since you are experiencing the "little Pains". You need to massage your whole breasts in addition to the areas that you are experiencing the pains. Nerves that regenerate do so at a rate of 1mm/day and can cause extreme sensitive pains when irritated. I recommend that my patients massage with coco butter daily which helps skin, scars, and to desensitize the irritated nerve ends.

Best of Luck.

Fit and Trim...is a Tummy Tuck Crazy?
Minny TT
Apr 24, 2013
Hello and thank you for the question.

From your pictures I can see that the majority of your issues are with excess skin laxity in the area below your bellybutton. I cannot appreciate any excess laxity or exess fat in the area above your bellybutton. I agree with the other Dr. that when everyone sits down we will see skin folds as the skin is not infinitey elastic. However, one recommendation that may work for you is to have a discussion with your surgeon about a minny TT. This...

I Am 4 Months Post Op & Still Getting Drained and Now Im Pregnant?
Seroma
Apr 23, 2013
Hello and Congratulations on your pregnancy. In regards to the seroma, I agree that placing a catheter may be better than having to go in weekly. A catheter can be placed via ultrasound and left in place until the seroma resolves. Make sure you clear any treatments or medications used to treat the seroma with your OB.

In regards to the follow up procedure, wait until after your delivery and at least a 6 months period. You want to maximize your results from the second surgery and doing...
