I’ve lost weight, want mommy makeover but a plastic surgeon wouldn’t consult with me until I have
BMI
May 20, 2021
It’s not about your BMI, it’s about the fact that you’re still losing weight. Patients should be at their ideal weight and their weight should be stable for 6 months prior to undergoing any surgery.
How high is the chance for the need to replace breast implant after years?
Breast Implant questions
May 14, 2020
Here are the answer to your questions:
1- Is there a health threat when sitting on long flights due to pressure changes in high altitudes? No. I haven’t heard of this. There is a risk of getting blood clots in your legs during flights and usually I don’t recommend flying right after surgery.
2- Will I definitely or most probably need to replace my implants after 10-12 years? The recommendation is you have your implants changed out after 10 years. The majority of patients don’t do this.
3- …
Is it typical for Plastic Surgeons to use nurses to perform lip augmentation and Botox?
Doctors vs. Nurses doing injections
May 14, 2020
Many Doctors do their own injections, and many hire nurses to do their injections. Some doctors don’t like doing the injectables and therefore, hire someone else to do them. Personally, I love doing injections. In my office, I offer to do the injections and I have a nurse who can do them as well. Typically the doctors charge a little bit more than the nurses do. What it really comes down to is the style. Injections are a form or art. Every injector is going to have their own style. So best …
If we are not to sit on our butts after a BBL, why are we placed on our backs and then put to sit
BBL
Feb 28, 2019
After surgery, patients recover on their back (or side) with prop pillows used to keep pressure off of their bottom. They are then pushed to their vehicle in a wheelchair (also with pillows or padding) to help them get home. Then, once home, it is very important to keep weight off of the newly placed fat cells so that these cells can grow a new blood supply to help them stay alive. The more weight on these cells, the more the cells will die off and minimize the results of surgery. Does this …
2 months post op, is there a fix for uneven nipples post-op unilateral gynecomastia removal? (phot
Gynecomastia Surgery
Feb 11, 2019
Thank you for your question. Bottom line is it’s far too early to make assumptions about your final result. The best thing to do is go back to your surgeon and express your concerns with him/her. He/she may have ideas to make things look better while you continue to heal. If there’s a problem at the 6-12 month mark, he/she will have ideas on how to make things better for you. Best of luck!
Revolax tear trough fillers gone horribly wrong. Will this resolve itself?
Fillers
Feb 11, 2019
I always warn my patients that puffiness under the eyes can occur after fillers are placed in the tear trough area. I’ve had it happen with one of my patients and my nurse has also. I don’t think it has to do with technique or the product itself. The puffiness is usually just water retention and often can be gently pushed away. I would go back to your injector and see what he/she recommends you do about it.
I have developed a resistance to Botox, PS suggested injecting Belotero. Will this work?
Belotero for crow’s feet
Feb 11, 2019
If you didn’t see much improvement with the Juvenderm, I don’t think Belotero will help either. If you have developed a resistance to Botox, trying another neurmodulator like Xeomin or Dysport may be the way to go for you. Best of luck!
I am not seeing much improvement from before my lower facelift to now, one year later. Suggestions
Lower Facelift
Feb 11, 2019
I’m sorry that you are not seeing the results you desire. I do, however, see some improvement in you appearance but it is not dramatic. I recommend that you go back to your surgeon, tell him/her what exactly you are unhappy with, and see what they say. Often times, the doctor will suggest something to you at no or lower cost. We all want our patients to be happy.
Is there such a thing as a fat transfer to back upper thighs right underneath my buttocks?
Fat transfer
Feb 4, 2019
Hello and thank you for your question. We can pretty much transfer fat to (almost) any part of the body. However, based on your photos which aren’t very clear, it’s very hard to determine if this is the best option for you. The best thing to do would be to go in to see your plastic surgeon for an in person consultation. Best of luck to you!
What can I do about scars and puffiness due to donut lift?
Problems after Breast lift
Feb 4, 2019
I’m not sure as to what is causing the puffiness of the right areola. It is possible that will resolve with more time. As far as the areolae themselves go, it looks like you’ve had some tissue loss. You might want to have your areloae tattooed with skin color ink to even them out and make them look more symmetrical. Hope this helps.
Scar irritation at 4 weeks Post Op.. Is this normal?
Scar irritation
Feb 4, 2019
Yes, what you are experiencing is normal. Sometimes incisions “spit” some underlying sutures later on. As long as it doesn’t get infected, everything should be fine. Try to protect the area from chaffing by putting a little cotton pad over it while wearing a bra. This should help. If things change, head back to you surgeon immediately.
Crazy horrible itching, burning and tingling 1 month post 360 lipo & Bbl. I’m desperate for he
Itching, burning after BBL.
Feb 4, 2019
I think the neurontin is a good idea. It’s important to follow up with your surgeon as he/she may need to increase your doesage. Another thing to try would be to take an anti-histamine before bedtime. Sometimes intensely itchy skin can be an environmental allergy. Hope this helps.
Could I get my inner thigh gap, butt crease, asymmetry, and hip dips fixed?
BBL
Feb 4, 2019
Yes, you look to be a good candidate for BBL which will address your concerns. The only area that I’d be cautious about is the amount you want to remove in your upper abdomen. One’s rib cage determines how small we can get you in that area. The rest of your concerns seem very doable. Hope this helps.
Could my breast implants be improved?
Breast augmentation improvements
Feb 4, 2019
You really need to see your surgeon to determine what that lump is. Most likely it is a crease in the implant but you need to make sure that it’s not something more serious. If the lump is just the implant, you want to go bigger,  and you want to minimize your surgeries, you may be a candidate for fat transfer. Fat transfer may be able to cover the lump and give you more volume. However, only your surgeon can tell if you are a candidate for this procedure. Best of luck to you.
Why does my left breast 4 month post breast lift revision itch horribly and is so flaky?
Dry Itchy skin after breast lift
Feb 4, 2019
This may be a silly question but have you tried using Aquaphor to moisturize the areas? You may need a steroid shot or pack if this is some sort of allergic reaction. Best of luck to you.
