I would definitely give a call to your plastic surgeon especially to discuss your concerns. I do not routinely use drains after breast augmentation although some surgeons routinely do. He or she will have a certain criteria, meaning a total volume of output in a 24 hour period before pulling them out. I believe that you are a great candidate based on your symptoms and your picture. Unfortunately, as you have noticed that it is unlikely that you are going to have any significant reduction in breast size with further weight loss. The wonderful news about your weight loss is that you have significantly decreased your surgical risks!! That being said best to see a board certified plastic surgeon to make an in person evaluation. Sometimes and for whatever reason, one implant may drop down to its normal position faster while the other one stays high. If they were placed under the muscle, then the reason is that because of swelling and tightness of the muscle, it will push the implant up not allowing it to drop down. You are absolutely right in feeling that you should be seen frequently after surgery. Likely there must be a misunderstanding by the patient coordinator. As you and your girlfriend know, there is usually a regimented postoperative follow up plan that is specific to the type of surgery that you had undergone. I recommend for you to contact your surgeon and ask to be seen. I hope this helps.
