I’m 35 years old unmarried girl, is LASIK laser is good for me or not ? my vision are R.eye 3.
LASIK surgery in 35 year old
Aug 26, 2015
Thank you for your question. Married or unmarried, LASIK is a wonderful procedure to reduce or eliminate your need for glasses for distance vision. You mentioned your prescription but it is not clear whether you are nearsighted or farsighted. A qualified LASIK surgeon could assess your prescription and do further testing of your eyes to adequately advise you of your candidacy for the LASIK procedure. I strongly encourage you to seek out an experienced Laser Vision…
Am I a Candidate for Lasik?
Candidacy for LASIK
Jul 9, 2015
Thanks for your question. You might be a candidate for LASIK but there’s a lot more involved in the assessment than just your prescription. A Laser surgeon would do mapping of the cornea and thickness measurements to determine if you have any underlying conditions that may preclude you from having the procedure. A full eye exam would be completed to rule out any other pathology. A qualified Laser Vision Surgeon would do all the necessary pre testing and eye…
Should I get a second opinion?
HIgh myopia and LASIK
Jul 9, 2015
Your candidacy for laser vision correction depends on a lot of factors including but not limited to your age, level of correction, corneal thickness, corneal mapping, stability of prescription, steepness/flatness of the cornea. Therefore, there is no easy answer here. Laser vision correction can be done on prescriptions like yours but some doctors prefer surface treatments without a flap rather than LASIK with a flap in these cases to conserve altered tissue. Alternative…
I have done my LASIK surgery once but its seems a -0.25 power is back in my right eye. So can
enhancements after LASIK
Jul 9, 2015
Enhancements after LASIK are done for significant refractive errors. a refractive error of -0.25 is not considered significant most of the time unless there are significant “higher order aberrations” associated with it. Your surgeon is the only one who should determine if it would be appropriate and more importantly, SAFE to go back and do additional laser work on your eyes. The timing of enhancements is also important because if you are in your immediate post operative…
Which is the most suitable method for me in which i would be left with highest post operative
Corneal thickness
Mar 25, 2015
Your pre-operative corneal thickness is a little thinner than average and your prescription quite high in the left eye. Of course you first need a thorough evaluation and consultation with an experienced refractive surgeon to determine your candidacy for any procedure. Laser Vision correction may not be the optimal option here due to your thin corneas and high prescription but it would require, again a more thorough evaluation before that could be determined definitively. …
Am I suitable for LASIK?
LASIK candidacy
Mar 9, 2015
Hello there. A change in prescription of 0.25 over a year is not considered significant. Of course you will need a full consultation examining other things beyond your prescription to absolutely determine your candidacy for laser vision correction. If you end up being a candidate and pursuing the surgery, congratulations! On your second question, computer use will not affect your result.
Is it normal to see blurry from one eye 2 weeks after my Lasik surgery?
Blurred vision after LASIK
Feb 25, 2015
Your vision will fluctuate after LASIK. Small fluctuations are not uncommon are generally due to healing processes and intermittent dryness. If this is an acute large change in vision, I would return to my surgeon to have her take a look. “This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and cannot be held as true medical advice, but only opinion.
