What would you recommend to get rid of my acne scarring?
Acne Scarring
Sep 4, 2018
Sep 4, 2018
Thanks for the submission. There are several options that can be useful in the treatment of acne scars such as these. Subcision, fillers such as Bellafill, a series of microneedling sessions vs. fractionated laser resurfacing or TCA cross are some alternatives. Seek care from a board certified dermatologist who will guide you through the process. It is a process rather than a quick fix which will yield the best results. Best of luck.
Will PDL be better than IPL for my rosacea?
Pulsed Dye Laser vs IPL
Apr 14, 2018
Apr 14, 2018
Facial redness can be a challenge to treat. Both Pulse Dye Laser (PDL) and Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) can help. In our experience, deeper stubborn erythema (redness) tends to respond best to PDL. Vigilant sunscreen, azelaic acid, topical vasoconstricting agents (Rhofade and Mirvaso) can also improve facial redness. I recommend that you see a dermatologist for further assessment.
Mole freezed by my local GP and it’s gone black and scabby: I’m a bit worried.
Frozen lesion

Apr 14, 2018
It is not unusual for a lesion treated with liquid nitrogen to develop a crust or scab several days later. For the best cosmetic outcome be sure to protect this area from the sun. It may take a few more weeks for things to look normal. If the scab is still there weeks after the treatment see your physician.
Which surgeon should I consult for a lipoma on temple?
Lesion Removal on Temple
Apr 14, 2018
Apr 14, 2018
A cystic lesion like this could be removed by a dermatologic surgeon or plastic surgeon with nice results. In our office, such cases are treated using local anesthesia. Best of luck.
Old melasma on my forehead and cheek areas will the Jessner peel help with this type of hyperpigm
Jessner Peel for Melasma
Apr 14, 2018
Apr 14, 2018
A Jessner peel can be used to treat melasma, photoaging, age spots, acne, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, and freckles. Though an old-fashioned treatment, I think that this peel can provide nice results for a great value in the right patient. Melasma can be stubborn and is often treated with a multi-pronged approach including diligent sun protection, topical bleaching agents, chemical peels, occasionally laser or IPL treatments, etc. A consultation with...
How to find a doctor to remove a lipoma?
Lipoma Removal
Feb 3, 2018
Feb 3, 2018
Most lipomas can be removed with a simple, in-office procedure without the need and expense of operating room fees and general anesthesia. I recommend contacting a dermatologic surgeon near you.
How to treat post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation due to TCA peel?
Hyperpigmentation Following Chemical Peels
Feb 3, 2018
Feb 3, 2018
First, protect the hyperpigmented area from the sun with vigilance by regular application of sunscreen. Even small doses of UVA light exposure (present year-round) could make the problem worse or delay recovery.
Avoid attacking the problem with more procedures at this point. Acutely, sometimes corticosteroid creams are used to treat any residual inflammation. Bleaching agents with hydroquinone may also be helpful.
