How Long After Radiesse is Injected in Marionette Lines Should I Expect to See Results?
Radiesse works immediately after injection
Jul 15, 2011
Radiesse is a filler that works to add volume deep below your skin. Sometimes if your wrinkle is closer to the surface you might need a more superficial filler in addition to Radiesse.

Examples of these include Resylane, Juvederm. These are the softer fillers the other physicians are talking about. However the Radiesse you received should still help you to achieve your goal, just at a deeper level.

Will Daily Use of the Sauna Remove Radiesse Injections from my Cheeks?
Sauna use doesn't dissolve Radiesse
Jul 15, 2011
Enjoy your sauna! It should have zero effect on your Radiesse. It should last about 12 months with or without the sauna.
I'm 23, Sharp Nose, Big Cheeks, and Wrinkles After I Smile. What Can I Do?
Do nothing!
Jul 15, 2011
Alyssa,

This photo shows a perfectly healthy youthful looking face. I would give strong consideration to doing nothing at all except daily SPF 30 that offers protection from UVA and UVB rays. Avoid tanning. Your skin looks great, just do the above to maintain it.

However, if you must do something, do fillers. The photo looks as though you have a little less facial volume on your left. This is asymmetry and we all have it to some extent, so it is normal. However, we tend...

Is It True That Botox Can Help with Depression and Bipolar Disorder?
Botox: Fascinating idea, but unknown if useful for depression / bipolar
Jul 5, 2011
This is a fascinating question and I think the answer is we just don't know right now. That having been said I have heard from a psychiatrist friend that there is at least one clinical study underway looking at botox as add-on therapy for depression that is resistant to conventional therapy. The important things to focus on here are that 1) this study is ongoing, and is not proof that botox helps depression or bipolar disorder and 2) even if botox does turn out to be useful in this regard,...
At Home Vi Peel - Safe?
ViPeel not an at home treatment
May 21, 2011
Don't do it at home. Find a qualified, licensed person to do your peel. If you try it at home you run the risk of burns and scars that could be permanent!
Radiesse Swelling
Radiesse Swelling 2-3 days usually
May 21, 2011
A good example is injection of the nasolabial folds. It can feel like hardness under your skin, and can even come down to your mid upper lip. This seems odd to people as it isn't typically injected there. Basically gravity pulls the swelling down toward your upper lip, chin and jawline, but don't worry, it's just swelling, not Radiesse that is drifting downward.
Is There an over the Counter Med I Can Take to Help Reduce Swelling After Filler Injections?
Help for swelling 24 after fillers
May 21, 2011
I agree that things that don't cause bleeding like bromelain, arnica, Tylenol and icing are all the best and most reasonable within the first 24 hours because that is the time period you are most likely to have a bleeding side effect. However, you are past that and still having swelling.

Ibuprofen could be a very helpful over the counter medication to reduce swelling for you. I only say this in your case because your body has had over 24 hours time for all the bleeding areas to clot. ...
