Bleaching Cream Isn’t Working, What else Can I Do?
What to do when bleaching cream isn’t working
Aug 7, 2013
I would recommend that you make an appointment with your dermatologist. There are different causes for the type of skin darkening around the neck in your photograph that would require a treatment other than bleaching cream. A dermatologist can evaluate your skin, biopsy if necessary, and recommend an appropriate treatment. Good luck!
Just Had my First Sculptra Treatment 2 Days Ago. Is It Normal for my Face to Feel Tight? Will I Pee
Tight Feeling Face After Sculptra
Sep 11, 2012
When Sculptra is injected into the face, some patients develop a little bruising or swelling afterwards that can make the face feel a little “tight.” This should resolve within about a week. You can try some ice packs to help it resolve a little more quickly.
Mole Came Back (But Smaller) After Benign Biopsy?
Mole Came Back After Biopsy
Aug 3, 2012
Chances are that your mole was biopsied with a shave technique. This uses a blade to shave off the top portion of the mole to send to pathology. This technique can leave behind some “roots” of the mole if it was deep, and these “roots” can cause the mole to regrow over time. Provided that the pathology was completely normal, this shouldn’t be a cause for concern.
Acne on Buttocks. Have it On My Arms and Thighs Also?
Keratosis Pilaris and Folliculitis Can Occur on the Buttocks and Thighs
Aug 3, 2012
Keratosis pilaris can indeed occur on the thighs and buttocks, as well as the arms. Folliculitis is also common on the buttocks and thighs. Folliculitis can present more acutely and progress as you describe when you had it on your bikini line, but it can also be more chronic and appear almost like acne. Keratosis pilaris usually improves by moisturizing with a lactic acid-containing lotion. Chronic folliculitis can improve with antibacterial washes. …
Toe Nail Fungus or Melanoma?
Dark Spot on Your Toenail
Jul 30, 2012
I would advise you to have your dermatologist examine this dark spot. There are certain types of fungal and bacterial infections of the toenail that can give a dark appearance, but melanoma can cause this, as well. It is best to have a dermatologist examine it and determine what the cause may be.
Does Everyone Experience an Initial Breakout when on Accutane?
Initial Breakouts When Starting Isotretinoin
Jul 18, 2012
When starting isotretinoin, some but not all patients flare. It can depend on the severity of your acne, your starting dose of medication, and any other medications that you are on. If the flare is severe, it is sometimes necessary to prescribe oral steroids or topcial treatments in addition to the isotretinoin. I advise you to discuss your concerns with your physician to develop your best treatment plan.
Can I Take Juvederm Injections and Go for a Long Flight Just After the Procedure?
Flying after filler
Jul 18, 2012
There is no real contraindication to flying after filler injections. A potential downside to flying immediately after your treatment is that your physician would not be able to evaluate you for a touch-up or if you had any complication, so you may wish to schedule your appoinment accordingly.
