I recommend SkinCeuticals Epidermal Repair or Epionce Renewal Facial Cream after microneedling treatment. This may provide faster healing times and further skin tightening. Polysporin is a good over-the-counter substitute that may help prevent infection. You can't completely eliminate the risk of complication as allergic contact dermatitis can occur from numerous chemicals, and infection may occur though the risk is low. I would recommend having this spot looked at by your local dermatologist, especially since it is changing. He or she can examine the area and determine if a biopsy should be performed.

The biopsy site does appear to be healing properly. If you believe you are having a problem I would recommend to see the physician whom performed the biopsy, and continue the instructions he/she instructed. I hope that was helpful.

Thanks for your questions and photos. I agree that certain areas of the body may heal differently than others. Given the appearance of your scars, I think you will get the best cosmetic result by having the scars excised. You will be replacing these pigmented oval scars for a linear scar. It is impossible to predict how one person will respond to PRP. Many patients get great results whereas others it has minimal improvement compared to treatment with microneedling alone. I would recommend continuing with microneedling alone since you feel that you have received some improvement. If you see diminishing returns following future microneedling sessions then it may be worthwhile trying the PRP. I hope this was helpful.

Given that the spot has not changed since childhood and is fairly symmetrical, it is most likely benign. However, if you are concerned about the spot or if it changes in any way, it is best to have the spot looked at by a dermatologist who may recommend a biopsy.
