Statement: I am excited to have the honor of treating patients in Mobile county, Baldwin county, and the Gulf Coast area. I have spent a lifetime living and training in the Southeast to be able to provide care for out wonderful patient population. After growing up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, I went to the University of Virginia where I received a Bachelors degree in Biology. I then returned to Louisiana for his Masters in Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University, and my medical degree at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. There, I was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and was fortunate enough to earn accolades from the Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center for outstanding research as well as multiple awards for academic accomplishments and community service. These included the Colin Goodier Scholarship, Alpha Omega Alpha Scholarship, and the Paula C. Ragland Award.

After medical school, I pursued the integrated plastic surgery program at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. While my training was clinically focused on the full breadth of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, I also focused on advancing the field of plastic surgery with research that resulted in numerous journal articles, book chapters, and presentations on the local, regional, and national level. Staying at the forefront of my field has been a priority to provide the best, most up to date procedures for my patients.

My aesthetic focus remains on helping my patients look and feel their absolute best. I strive to individualize my treatment plans on the specific desires and anatomy of each patient. My main focus in on rejuvenation of breast and body for women of all ages. I also particularly enjoy working with weight loss patients in various aspects of body contouring including abdomen, chest, arms, and thighs. For my aging patients, I utilize a combination of injectables, lasers, and of course surgery to provide a more youthful appearance of the eyes, lower face, and neck. I particularly enjoy contouring of the neck with liposuction and excisional surgery.

My main reconstructive interest is restoration of the breast following mastectomy, lumpectomy, or other congenital breast issues. In this endeavor, I utilize expanders, implants, and autologous tissue (DIEP/TRAM flaps). I also focus on reconstruction of skin and other cancers of the head and neck, abdomen, and extremities.

When he is not in the operating room, I spend as much time as I can with my beautiful wife, Danielle, and my three daughters Addison, Eleanor, and Margaret. I thoroughly enjoy any time outdoors, particularly hunting, fishing, or hiking. I am proud to be a part of the Mobile and Baldwin county communities. I strive at all times to offer personalized surgical care of the highest quality, safety and integrity. Through the Park and Rebowe Clinic for Plastic Surgery and PR MedSpa, I hope to provide this experience to my patients in a comfortable and confidential atmosphere.

Doctor’s answers

Question
Answer Header & Date
Answer Snippet
Can I do rhino, lip lift & lower blepharoplasty all in one?
Can be done, not common
Sep 21, 2023
That sequence of surgery is certainly safe and achievable, however it is not a common combination. Any surgeon that frequently does facial cosmetic procedures should be able to provide these services together, but you are unlikely to find a surgeon with all of these combination of procedures for “before and after” photos.
Could consuming alcohol within 24 hours of lip injections dissolve filler & not achieve full results?
Should not be a problem
Sep 21, 2023
While you are correct that consuming alcohol can increase swelling, there is no evidence that this will “dissolve” your filler. However, I would be cautious in getting lip filler before an event, as swelling following injections can be significant and asymmetric. I often tell my patients not to get filler within two weeks of an event so that any swelling can subside and we can make any minor adjustments prior to that.
What can be done for neck lift puckering under chin & is numbness permanent?
Numbness Permanent, Options for Puckering
May 2, 2023
Unfortunately, the numbness on the face is likely permanent at this point if you are one year out. In terms of the tethering, that scar can likely be release either under local anesthetic or under anesthesia. This may involve an open incision or could involved separating the subcutaneous scar with a needle. However, in either case, it is possible for the tethering scar to return following these revision procedures.
Should I wait on a reduction if my breasts are still growing?
Absolutely
May 2, 2023
It is best to wait until your breasts have reached a stable size for at least 6 months prior to pursuing a breast reduction. This ensures that we are able to reduce the breasts to the appropriate size with minimal risk of the affected tissue having additional hypertrophy, or growth, following the removal.
High BMI. Will I be able to get surgery without losing a bunch of weight?
Not recommended
Apr 27, 2023
In general, a BMI of below 35 is recommended for body contouring surgery of any kind. All complications, but especially VTE (venous thromboembolic, or blood clots) events, increase over a BMI of 35. There are some surgeons who are comfortable operating up to a BMI of 40, but this is not generally supported by the literature. Make sure you are seeking surgery from a surgeon specifically board certified in plastic surgery to make sure all safety considerations are taken into account.
Surgeons seen to have their out buzz words for facials. Deep plane, refresher face lift. Are they reall
Different Approaches, Overall Similar Results
Apr 27, 2023
The difference refers to how deep the surgeon dissects to elevate the skin flaps. In general, you just want to ensure that your surgeon manipulates the SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic) layer in some way. A skin only facelift tightens only skin and will not last. A SMAS manipulation facelift should last up to 10 years. There are some surgeons who dissect deep to the SMAS (deep-plane facelift) in order to increase longevity and quality of results. However, these methods have never been…
Foams and Boards post Lipo360/BBL? When to start wearing them post op and when to stop?
Not Necessary
Apr 27, 2023
In general, with proper compression devices (Such as the Faja or other compression garments) the foams and boards are not necessary. On occasion there are some people who will not get adequate compression over a certain area from a garment and then foam can be added, but this is very rare. Most people will be able to tolerate and do well with just a garment. These garments can be started immediately after surgery. In general, there is no movement that you can perform that will produce a…
Lower blepharoplasty with laser resurfacing?
Either Will Work
Apr 27, 2023
In general, a CO2 laser will be more effective at improving the quality of the dark skin under the eye and improving the overall quality of the skin itself. However, it will not do anything for the hollow appearance or the protruding fat (which are interrelated problems). If you would like to address both, it would be wise to consider Co2 laser first and then lower lid blepharoplasty in order to ensure the skin isn’t tightened too much. Alternatively, a transconjunctival bleph (from internal…
Breast implant revision. When should adderall be stopped pre-surgery?
One Week
Apr 27, 2023
In general, medical grade stimulants such as Adderall should be stopped one week prior to surgery due to anesthetic concerns. Caffeine is OK to continue until the day before surgery. These medications can be restarted the day after surgery as they do not generally affect wound healing or other surgical concerns.
Could my platysmaplasty be the cause of my breathing problems / tongue position?
Not Likely
Apr 24, 2023
There should be no physiologic reason that the platysmaplasty should be causing any issues with the tongue. There are some patients that endorse a temporary feeling of tightness of the neck and airway following a neck lift, but this generally subsides over time. I would recommend consulting with an otolaryngologist (ENT) to ensure there are no other physiologic abnormalities causing your symptoms.
Is risk of blood clots higher if you have your period before or after surgery?
No Correlation
Apr 24, 2023
There is no correlation between the timing of menses and the risk of a VTE (venous thromboembolic) event. It would be safe to proceed with surgery as planned.
Can you do a labia puff/fat transfer under local anesthesia?
Technically, but would not recommend
Apr 24, 2023
While this procedure is technically feasible under local anesthesia, it would be extremely uncomfortable. This procedure should have minimal operative time and therefore minimal risk associated with general anesthetic and minimal downtime regardless of type of anesthetic performed. I would recommend sedation or general anesthetic if this is a procedure that you are pursuing along with consulting with a board certified plastic surgeon.
7 months post op and my breast shape has changed – can this be due to implant flipping?
Difficult to Tell
Apr 24, 2023
It is difficult to tell with the provided pictures and imaging. In general, only an in person physical examination would be able to tell whether or not the implant has flipped. With many implants they will look the same on both sides with the exception of some of the form stable 5th generation devices which are textured and should not flip or rotate. I appears that you do not have much breast tissue on the left based on the MRI which is consistent with body changes including weight loss,…
Will my belly button change after lipo360?
Lipo should not change BB
Apr 24, 2023
Standard liposuction should not change the appearance of the umbilicus (belly button) unless performed with an abdominoplasty. Wearing an umbilical shaping device can improve your chances of having an aesthetically pleasing umbilicus following your procedure whether performing liposuction alone or with an abdominoplasty.
I want to get surgery on my face to appear more attractive – What can I benefit from?
Dorsal Hump Reduction
Apr 24, 2023
Since posting under rhinoplasty I am assuming that you are focusing on the nose. Overall your nose has good projection but there is a significant dorsal hump that can be reduced. Likewise you would benefit from a bit of tip rotation and refinement, but the overall width seems appropriate. It should be a standard rhinoplasty, and an in person internal nasal examination could tell whether or not you would benefit from a septoplasty at the same time. Make sure to consult with a board certified…
