How long after the gastric bypass surgery, will the dumping last? I am still having them still.

Dumping is due to bypassing the pylorus (valve at end of stomach) and the duodenum. Therefore, it lasts forever after gastric bypass. Different patients have variable levels of dumping, some severe some mild. The key to dumping obviously is to avoid it. So figure out how much sugar you can handle without dumping and the don’t exceed that amount.
My wife is 37 and had gastric bypass 3 months ago, she is 8 weeks pregnant.
Early pregnancy after gastric bypass

While we recommend waiting at least a year after gastric bypass to become pregnant, we have in our clinic many patients that have become pregnant much earlier. As long as proper vitamin levels are monitored and maintained and with close fetal monitoring by the obstetrician our patients have had very successful pregnancies.

There is no best bariatric procedure, but some choices are better for a given patient. We offer and commonly perform gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, lab band and gastric plication. We have found that patients with a BMI over 45 do better with the gastric bypass. The sleeve gastrectomy works very nicely for lower BMIs and has less risk and lower long term complications. At a BMI of 36 I would recommend the sleeve gastrectomy as the better option.
