Dr. Fox earned his medical degree from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. After graduation, he completed an internal medicine internship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, followed by a four-year dermatology residency at New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Fox has been chief of dermatology at several major teaching hospitals, including Mount Sinai Hospital and Jamaica Medical Center in Queens. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

In 1987, Dr. Fox founded the American Academy of Dermatology Melanoma/Skin Cancer Prevention Program in Queens, New York. He has worked tirelessly to increase skin cancer awareness and develop effective community screening programs.

To further these efforts, Dr. Fox developed the New Age Skin Research Foundation, a dermatology and skin cancer research and advocacy forum for patients and physicians. He currently serves as president of the organization.

Dr. Troccoli was born in Los Angeles, California, and attended Hollywood High School, where he graduated with honors. He is the elder of two brothers and is the first in his immediate family to attend college. He attended Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, where he graduated summa cum laude with distinction in psycho-biology. He earned his Medical Degree from Harvard University in Boston and was awarded a student research scholarship, dedicating an additional year of studies to Photomedicine. Photomedicine is a recently developed area of study, focusing on the effects of electromagnetic radiation, such as ultraviolet, visible, and infrared light, mediated through the skin.
