He went on to finish two residencies—the first in general surgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida, and the second in plastic surgery at Ohio State University.

Dr. McMahan is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of both the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Nationally and internationally published, Dr. McMahan is also the recipient of numerous medical awards and accolades. Voted one of the top plastic surgeons in Columbus by his peers in Columbus Monthly, he has won both the Patients’ Choice Award and the Compassionate Doctor Recognition every year since 2011, as well as an award for America’s Most Honored Professionals.
