How long will I need to recover from breast augmentation? When placing the implants behind the muscle we tell our patients to have a few days to recover and that generally if you are no longer taking your pain medication, you can drive. However, we do like for you to avoid heavy lifting (anything over 10lbs) for 1-2 weeks.
