From my practice after placing the silicone under the muscle duo plane, will decrease a small percentage of volume. So to avoid the misunderstanding I will let my patients try it on and make an agreement on the size that patients are comfortable with.

Normally I will suggest my patient to do both procedures at the same time, so in this case I would say you have to wait around 6 months to one year, to wait until the wound and everything fully heal first. I recommend you to discuss with your own surgeon about this procedure, different surgeons are performing different technique.

Recovery after fat transfer surgery is usually will take 3-4 weeks, but also depends on how many area! The swelling will start to decrease after 1-2 weeks and the area will begin to get better.
For fat injection might take for six months to see the result therefore for fat injection is unpredictable result so it might take some time to wait!

As you mention I don’t think there will be enough fat from your arm to make a different appearance.
