The platysma bands appear to have separated from the midline repair that was done. If Botox does not improve the appearance, revision surgery with partial or complete division of the platysma, along with suturing the medial edges again, would be likely to result in improvement. Best of luck!

Thank you for your question. If the incisions are well-healed, with no areas of redness or scabs, and the skin is starting to look normal (around three weeks), full submersion in a pool should be ok. I think in most cases it is OK to sleep on your side right away after surgery. Both of these questions should be discussed with your surgeon, as there may be a reason to wait longer in some cases. It is always hard to tell for sure from a photo, but it is not uncommon to have bruising and firm areas after liposuction. They should gradually get softer over the next few weeks. If the area is not too tender, gentle massage may help soften the firm areas and make the bruises go away faster. A good time to do that is in the shower, using a little soap or shampoo on your fingertips. Good luck!

Thanks for asking. This is a question that needs to be discussed with your surgeon. Generally non-strenuous walking is encouraged for the first two weeks after rhinoplasty. Most surgeons would recommend caution with any more strenuous activity to avoid elevating your blood pressure.

Thanks for your question. It is hard to tell from the photos, but it would not be unusual for you to have an area of scarring after a hematoma. It is possible that this will go away over time. Massage of the area may help to soften the scar tissue. If you feel that the breasts are too far apart, at this point six weeks postop, I would recommend wearing a bra that brings them together. This should be done for a month or so, and then re-evaluate. Good luck!

Thanks for your question. Liposuction is usually done at the time of tummy tuck. If you have areas of excess fat that could be improved with liposuction, this would be a good time to proceed. As has been mentioned, liposuction of the abdominal wall needs to be done carefully at the time of tummy tuck, as liposuction can damage the blood supply. You should discuss further with your plastic surgeon, but you should be able to have liposuction now and still undergo fat grafting later.

Thanks for your question. As others have said, Alloderm is meant to adhere to the breast tissue (or skin flaps after mastectomy). Round smooth implants should rotate with manipulation, but that is unlikely to help solve rippling. Visible rippling can be caused by a number of factors, including insufficient soft tissue coverage, an implant pocket that is too big, and/or an implant with not enough fill. The newer more cohesive gel implants can help, as can modification of the implant pocket….

Increasing your breast size with different-sized implants will likely make them more even, and will lift the nipples up a little.
