Statement: Dr Paul Munsanje set up Amara in 2007 and has been working full time between Clinics in Dublin, London and Warsaw ever since. Amara Clinic in Dublin has grown to a team of 10 people with 4 doctors, 4 skin therapists, and the latest and greatest machines to improve skin without surgery. Amara Clinic Dublin is now Ireland’s largest dedicated aesthetic clinic in a 5 storey, 6 treatment room. It sits in a beautiful Georgian building in the heart of dublin 2 on the corner of Fitzwilliam street upper and Baggot street. The Amara Dublin team serves thousands of patients per year. Over 15 years of the doors being open the team are very proud of their 5 star rating on google.

Dr Paul has being training other doctors since 2013 to perform aesthetic treatments. He has had a philosophy of “Do a little, early, often and varied.” since his first days of injectible treatments. This is how he treats his patients, his team, his wife and family members.

He has over 2 million views on his youtube channel and has recently been featured on the Real housewives of Warsaw as a TV doctor performing treatments in front of 2.5 million viewers. In the media section you can see some of the press and media interviews Dr Paul has been asked for an opinion on.

Dr Paul and the team love to fully assess their patients. To do this they take all of their concerns and marry them with an objective analysis of their skin using the latest scanning technology. Dr Paul then uses his experienced eye to recommend a plan that will suit the patient, and make the biggest difference to that patient, for the least cost, effort and downtime (preferably zero).

It goes without saying that natural treatments are an absolute minimum standard. Dr Paul has a particular interest in corrective work and offers hyalase for filler dissolving. Amazingly many patients still don’t know that filler can be dissolved in a matter of hours. He often performs treatments for patients who have gone astray in their injectible journey, correcting patients who may for example have been overfilled or overtreated by inexperienced doctors, nurse injectors and unqualified people.

Is filler the best option to minimize the appearance of crepey skin in the under eyes?
Use a few approaches and see what works best.
Apr 15, 2023
Consider a combination of 4 treatments for this area.
Keep using Botox underneath the eyes and make sure that you are not using too much at the side of the eyes and causing rebound increase in traction by the muscles under the eyes.
A skin booster like Sunekos can improve texture and color underneath the eyes.
Your picture doesn’t show a lot of volume loss but it’s not the best picture so I can’t be sure that you wouldn’t benefit from a small bit of a thin filler under eye filler like fo…
Botox and Dysport – is there a difference between the two?
I used both for years.
Apr 15, 2023
I used disport for many years and switched to Botox about 10 years ago.
I did not notice any difference whatsoever apart from the packaging, the amount of water it’s mixed with under the units.
One other thing I noticed is people have been more trusting of the Botox brand and because it’s made in Ireland where I practice I’m a little biased so chose it despite the higher cost to my practice.
Why could I sometimes experience swelling in the injected areas (usually when I wake up in the mornin
Filler is hydrophilic (loves water)
Apr 15, 2023
All fillers attract water and cause swelling. I’m not familiar with the filler that you are describing, but I understand that it’s more difficult to make short chain fillers, like Vycross from juvederm.
Filler does last longer than one year, particularly in areas that don’t move very much. Swelling happens regularly with normal life activities, for example, if you sleep on your front or side, you will typically experience swelling of the face in the morning because of gravity, pulling the f…
Can Botox fix this marionette/jowl dimple that appears when I talk & smile?
Lifting needed
Apr 15, 2023
This line looks like something that would be improved by some strong lifting techniques. If placing both fingers on the corners of your jaw and pulling back gets rid of this line, then this is the case. The ways to do this would be with a surgical lift or a non-surgical option like thread lifting or facial filler lift.
There are some great techniques using Vycross Juvéderm fillers that are not as good as surgery but can give enough lift to get rid of a line like this. I think you would be …
Nasolabial fold. Can this be sorted with fillers?
Juvederm Hyaluronic Acid Filler
Sep 13, 2017
Hi Clemie,
Yes Nasolabial folds can be helped with Hyaluronic Acid fillers. I use Juvederm fillers which blend seamlessly with the skin and also contain an anaesthetic. This is best discussed with a consultation first but treatment can of course be given on the same appointment.

Botox 1-2 units under eye wrinkles 7 days – any difference? Help
Eye Wrinkles
Sep 13, 2017
Hi Louisa,
If your doctor used the original Botox then it can take up to 14 days to take full effect. Does your Doctor offer a free review? If so I would advise seeing your doctor again for this review and allow them to asses if you would need a top up.

Kind Regards,
Dr Paul Munsanje
