Typically recovery from a breast reconstruction takes a few weeks. The procedure is not especially painful but you do need to give yourself time for swelling to subside and for scars to reach a certain strength before placing stress on them.I let my patients start light activity at week 3 and progress to full activity by week 6. Sometimes a faster recovery from the scarring standpoint can be achieved with optional use of vacuum dressings or silicone sheeting.

Generally speaking, you can push on your nose as you like post rhinoplasty after an 6 to 8 eight week period of healing. By eight weeks you internal scars are at about 90% of their original strength.
