Does having lip filler make your lips more prone to sunburn?
sunburn after lip filler
Feb 3, 2019
Lip filler does not make you more prone to sunburn, however may predispose coldsore formation, as does sun exposure and the 2 may be complicated. It would be advisable to treat this area as coldsores to see if there is improvement
What is causing the indentations and how do I treat them?
indentation after botox
Feb 3, 2019
It is unclear where you have had the botox treatment. If it was for horizontal lines only, the indentation may be explained as the activity of the glabellar muscles
Does taking Predisolone affect filler outcome?
prednisolone and filler treatment
Feb 3, 2019
It all depends on the reason you were taking prednisolone. if it is because of an autoimmune condition, it may preclude you from having filler until the condition is stabilised. Prednisolone can alter the immune system and may make you more predisposed to infection, bruising or even nodule formation
it would be best to delay the filler treatment until you are completely well

pain and swelling after filler
Feb 3, 2019
After filler injections the area may appear red and swollen. it may be tender to touch also. pain is unusual and may be a sign of a complication so it would be best to get the treatment reviewed by your practitioner
Reaction to topical cream used before lip augmentation?
Numbing cream reaction
Oct 25, 2018
Hello Jamie Lou
It depends on the cream used and what ingredients. The half life of the cream is usually 2 hours, thus whilst you may expereince some of these effects at the time of application, it would be unlikely that the cream is what is contributing to your current symptoms
Can I get lip injections again following vascular occlusion 3 weeks ago?
Vascular occlusion
Oct 25, 2018
Hello Josephine
Unfortunately it appears you suffered a vascular occlusion after lip filler treatment. I always advise clients who have experienced this rare complication, to wait 3 months before re-injecting with filler, to allow the tissues to perfuse and adequately recover
Are these bags under eye from Botox due to fluid retention or Botox causing fat pad to prot
Protruding eye bags post botox
Oct 25, 2018
Hello Viv
I have been consulted for this same problem before. The area of concern is involved in lymphatic drainage, and after Botox, this can be slowed due to the loss of contraction of the orbicularis oculi muscle
Filler would give support and structure to the area and in future may be a better option for crows feet and to minimise infraorbital eye bags or hollowing. However, one must be cautious in injecting to avoid that malar fluid area, as the filler will aggravate this
