Hi pamsand,
Thank you for your question and for uploading photos. I’m sorry you’ve had a less than ideal experience after tear trough filler. Unfortunately, I can’t see your pre- and post-procedure photos well enough to give a response tailored to your situation. However, 6 days after the procedure is still quite early and it can take 2 weeks for the swelling to resolve and sometimes even longer for the bruising. I’d wait until 2 weeks post-procedure before…

Hi jfmar, thank you for your question and for uploading your photos! I think that dermal filler in your tear troughs would give you a beautiful result. I prefer to use a hyaluronic acid filler as it can be dissolved if there any irregularities after injection. Filling the tear troughs can make you look more rested and rejuvenated. It is important to inject the filler deep as injections that are too superficial can cause irregularities so make sure to choose an…

Swelling under eyes

Hi Wissy0580, thank you for your question and for uploading your photos. I’m sorry that you’ve had less than an ideal result after fillers in your tear troughs. It looks like the filler may have been injected too superficially as there is quite a bit of swelling. The hyaluronic acid in the filler will draw water into the area and cause swelling. The tera trough area can be very unforgiving so the injection technique has to be very precise. The filler should be…
How many units for forehead and mouth/chin (smoker lines)?
Botox dosages

Sep 26, 2017
Hi taranicolestamm, thank you for your question! Without seeing you in person it can be difficult to estimate how many units of Botox would be required to treat those areas. However, on average, I will inject anywhere between 8-20 units in the forehead, approximately 6 units in the chin, and around 8 units above and below the lips. Every patient is different and depending on how many wrinkles you have you may require different dosing. Hope this helps!

Herpes and lip augmentation

Sep 20, 2017
Hi NonameKB, thank you for your question and for uploading photos! The outbreak of herpes should not affect the results of your lip augmentation especially since so much time has lapsed between the filler procedure and the cold sores appearing. The injections can precipitate a herpes outbreak so I tell my patients who get cold sores to take an antiviral like Valtrex before getting lip filler to help decrease the chance of the cold sores appearing. I hope this helps!…

Dermal filler in temples
Sep 14, 2017
Sep 14, 2017
Hi hollywilsonjones, thank you for your question! Dermal filler in the temples can significantly help improve signs of aging. Many types of filler can be used in the temples, I prefer using a hyaluronic acid (HA) filler (eg. Juvederm, Perlane) in the temple as they are dissolvable if the need arises. A dermal filler with large particle size like Juvederm Ultra Plus or Perlane can give you a nice amount of volume restoration although several other HA products can…
