This is a common complaint of a lot of women. Most often it will require a direct excision to fully remove and possibly some liposuction depending on the patient. The scar is placed in the axilla. Some patients can have accessory breast tissue in this area so it is best to be evaluated by a plastic surgeon to determine the best course of action.

In most instances the lap bad port needs to moved and repositioned during the muscle plication. This is very simple and very common. If necessary your surgeon can call the bariatric surgeon to move is he/she is uncomfortable. There are also low profile ports which can be switched during the procedure to make the port less noticeable or less palpable. Hope this helps!
