As an Otolaryngologist (Ear, Nose and Throat specialist) who deals with vertigo and other forms of dizziness frequently, I can reassure you that your Botox treatment was not related at all. Hello and I am sorry that things are not going smoothly for you. Without pictures and especially without the ability to examine you in person, it is a bit hard to be sure, however, I suspect that a blood vessel was inadvertently injured during your injection and the swelling that you are experiencing is a deep hematoma (bruise/collection of blood), in the masseter muscle which has caused it to swell and to still be painful when you clench and use/tense the muscle. You are describing symptoms that definitely are compatible with Frey’s Syndrome. I cannot explain the symptoms on the opposite side and suspect they are unrelated.
