Everybody will recover differently. However, after Brazilian Butt Lift, you will wear your compression garment at all times for the next 3-4 weeks. The garment helps to contour the body and speeds the resolution of swelling. Avoid sitting directly on the augmented buttocks for the first 1 weeks after surgery.
This will allow the fat graft to heal and survive. Your bruises will starts to disappear after 1-2 week, and the majority of swelling is gone in 6 weeks. In terms of returning to work, you can return to work after 2 week. I advice my patients to take at least 10 days off from work.
However, continue to wear your compression garment and minimize sitting on your buttocks. Most patients are able to resume all normal activities after 4 weeks. Recovery time this procedure as far as taking time off for work is about a week. I usually tell my patients to limit sitting directly on your buttocks for 2 weeks.
You will experience some pain the first few days mostly the areas you had liposuction done, pain medicine will help. Compression garment should be worn for 6 weeks in order to achieve the best results. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon, and be sure that he is an expert at this procedure.

We also ask that your patients sleep on their stomach for the first two weeks. After that for the next 4 weeks we ask that they avoid sitting on hard surfaces. The recovery for a Brazilian Butt Lift varies on the patient’s recuperative powers and the extent of the work that is required. Generally, a patient needs between 7 to 14 days of initial recovery time prior to returning to work.
