Biography: Joyce is a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Rochester, New York. Joyce also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and studied music with the Royal Conservatory of Music for 15 years. Originally from Calgary, Canada, Joyce has been in Austin since 2006 working in post-operative care.

Joyce extended her nursing experience to include medical aesthetics, first completing her training on Botox and Dermal Fillers in 2010. Since joining Beleza, Joyce has special interests in Botox and Dermal Filler injections, skin care and enjoys assisting Dr. Broder in surgery. Through her work in medical aesthetics, Joyce hopes to safely and effectively help clients achieve their aesthetic goals, specifically by accenting their natural beauty. Joyce enjoys the aesthetic side of medicine, as it allows her to combine her artistic talents and professional expertise to provide a world class experience for our clients.

Biography: Meredyth is the Practice Manager at Beleza MedSpa and the glue that holds the company together. She attended Mississippi State University where she studied Marketing and met her wonderful husband. She has lived in various parts of the country, but has called Austin home since August 2015. She has been in the medical industry for many years and has a passion for aesthetics. Meredyth has a wealth of knowledge on all procedures offered at Beleza and is a consultation expert when it comes to treatment recommendations.

In her free time, Meredyth enjoys spending time with her husband and bulldog Tyson, eating great food, cheering on Mississippi State, and bursting into random song any chance she gets.

Name: Kathryn Clayton, FNP-BC

Position: Nurse Practitioner

Biography: Kathryn Clayton is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and graduate of Clemson University. Kathryn became a Registered Nurse (RN) in 2009 and began working in a Surgical Trauma ICU position in a Level I hospital in Greenville, SC. During this time, Kathryn furthered her education by obtaining a Masters of Science in Nursing to become a Nurse Practitioner. She completed the ANCC National Board Certification in 2013 and began working in medical weight loss management and family medicine. Being a former Division 1 athlete and having a minor in athletic training, Kathryn has always loved nutrition and the preventative care that coincides with maintaining a healthy weight and lifestyle.

Since joining Beleza, Kathryn has received extensive training from Allergan on the latest products and procedures available. She is very excited to have a career in medical aesthetics and loves having the ability to work with patients on so many levels to achieve their goals.

Biography: Emily Stimson serves as one of Beleza’s very talented aestheticians and expert injectors. Emily started her career in the beauty industry in makeup artistry working with Mac Cosmetics for 12 years. Upon moving to Los Angeles, she expanded her expertise to the entertainment industry, working on film, fashion shows, photo shoots, and multiple movie and music award venues.

After teaching makeup artistry to aspiring students, Emily was inspired to understand what lies beneath the glitz, glamour, and illusion of makeup. Emily entered the Medical Spa Industry after studying at Avenue Five and Texas Laser Institute in Austin. Her expertise now includes the functions of skin & how it reacts to intrinsic and extrinsic influences. Emily enjoys teaching individuals how to improve the health and appearance of their skin. She is dedicated to providing a customized skin care routine to each of her clients in order achieve their long-term goals.

Biography: Krystal is a Master Aesthetician with Beleza and has been in the beauty industry for over 6 years. Krystal is highly skilled and trained in many different areas of aesthetics including laser hair removal, IPL therapy, facial treatments, and microneedling. She is dedicated helping her clients meet their desired goals and ensures every visit is fruitful and meets their expectations.

Krystal prides herself in making sure every skin treatment is customized to achieve a subtle and gradual transformation on her patients. She is very passionate about her role at Beleza and takes pride in her work. (She also is the epitome of grace and is often seen tumbling down the stairs in dramatic fashion!)

Biography: Michelle is a Surgical RN with Beleza MedSpa for 5 years. Michelle began her nursing career in a hospital setting working on a Medical-Surgical floor as well as Orthopedics, where she ultimately decided to pursue cosmetic procedures and dermatology.

Michelle works with all surger patients at Beleza. She will be working with you at your preoperative visit, then preparing you the day of your procedure, and then seeing you during your follow up appointments. It is beyond rewarding to be part of such a life changing experience for our patients.

In her free time, Michelle likes to hang with my corgi-mix “Fred” exploring all of the hiking trails and swimming holes around this beautiful city. She has a passion for delicious food and yummy cocktails, and always up for trying the newest restaurants in town.

Biography: My name is Genesis; I am the Surgical Assistant here at Beleza Medical Spa. Since joining the team back in Feb of 2016, I have not looked at this place as a “job” but as an opportunity to be able to help those feel happier with their body. I am always thinking of others and enjoy making everyone around me comfortable and happy! I have 100% patient care dedication and will do everything I can to ensure you have the best visit with Beleza Medical Spa.

You will find me working alongside with Dr. Broder and helping assist him in surgical procedures. I make sure everything is fully prepped and ready for surgery. A week after surgery you will most likely see me for your z wave massage.

I am a certified medical assistant and grew a passion for dermatology and cosmetic/plastic surgery while attending school, for my certification. I was born in Del Rio, TX, moved to Austin when I was 2 years old and have been here ever since. I am a proud mother of 4 children and a gym junkie.
