Can I remove this flesh/brown colored mole from the tip of my nose?
Mole Removal
Aug 25, 2020
Hi tjunior,
Thanks for your question – it seems that this mole is somewhat bothersome to you.
The first question to answer with any mole on the skin is whether it shows signs of neoplasm. Given that you’ve had a plastic surgeon review your mole, I presume he/she looked at it with a dermatoscope (magnifying device) and deemed that it is most likely benign. Any lesion with suspicious features should be removed surgically and examined by histopathologists to rule out neoplastic processes….
Would Fillers help correct brow bossing?
Non-Surgical Options for Frontal Bossing
Aug 25, 2020
Hi bai.jess,
Thanks for asking a great question, and for providing some pictures to accompany your query. Sorry to hear that your forehead and brow shape is affecting your self-confidence. Bossing is concern contributed to by a combination of bone shape and subdermal fat distribution – often genetically influenced.
A number of options are available for treatment, varying in terms of how invasive each procedure is:1. Dermal filler can be used through this area, and can give results for 12-15…
Do I Really Need Double Dysport to Get Same Effect of Botox?
Muscle Relaxant Units Differ
Jul 17, 2017
Hi Kerig, and thanks for your question!
Whilst muscle-relaxant products are all measured in ‘units’, a unit of one product is not the same as a unit of another. The reason for this lies in the way that the different manufacturing companies define the measure of a unit – there is no agreed-upon/standardised measurement for defining what is a ‘unit’ of a muscle relaxant product. For that reason different products require differing doses to achieve the same results in an individual. These…
What is a ‘liquid’ face lift?
What is a ‘liquid’ face lift?
Jul 17, 2017
Hi Wendy – thanks for your question!
The procedure commonly referred to as a ‘Liquid Facelift’ is a non-surgical rejuvenation of the entire face (and sometimes neck) through the use of dermal and subdermal fillers, muscle relaxants and (occasionally) fat-dissolving injections. When performed in a carefully selected patient, this combination of volume replacement, muscle relaxant and slight redistribution of skin tension can create significant and very pleasing results with no…

What is the Best Alternative to a Face Lift?
There are a number of alternatives, though most have trade-offs.
Jul 17, 2017
There are a number of non-surgical treatments that are great for facial rejuvenation including (but not limited to):
Volume restoration (such as dermal fillers and fat transfer)Skin-tightening (including certain laser therapies and mesotherapy/needling procedures)Muscle relaxants (which may be used to relax depressors of the face, allowing elevating muscles to partially ‘lift’ facial tissues)Fat dissolving injections (which can help to sculpt the jawline/under chin…
Juvederm Vs Restylane for Hands?
Focus on the Practitioner Rather than the Product
Jul 17, 2017
Hi Crreyna, and thanks for your question!
Both of the products you’ve referred to in the above question are hyaluronic-acid dermal fillers, and as such exhibit similar (although not identical) characteristics. If looking for a treatment with HA filler, either product could be used to create great results – what really matters is who is performing the treatment.
I recommend consulting with a well-regarded surgeon or physician in your area who can perform an examination & assessment,…
